Who does this?

I have an interview Monday morning at an elementary school near base.

I'm sort of freaking out about it. Too many things to think about...daycare, waking up early, looking presentable before noon, and actually working. I was complaining to Nathan about having to leave Florida three weeks earlier than planned.

He looked at me and said, "Do you want to go back to work?"

I looked at him and replied with, "I don't know."

I have a nasty habit of doing things, just to see if I can. Once I know I can do something, I'm over it. So I'm left wondering, do I really want to go back to work or am I just trying to see if I can get a job? I think I want to go back to teaching, but I am not looking forward to putting little Mac into daycare. I did it before, so why is it so much harder now?
Wish me luck:) And enjoy the funny picture of Mac, it was taken around Christmas.

I feel anxiety for you! Think of it this way... Just because you are going for an interview means nothing! I mean you could walk in there and absoultely hate the place and know right then and there " this is just a practice interview, because I know I will not work here, even for a million bucks", or you may walk in and fall in love with the place. I think interviewing is always great to do. Its a chance to see whats out there and if you want it or not. It will get you back to being comfortable with interviewing, so that when you do finally decide FOR SURE that you want to go back to work, you'll be prepped and ready to go. Good luck! I'll be thinking of you.

agreed to everything jac said. remember, worst case scenario you can quit if you took it and regretted it. no biggie. it happens. :) it is harder to put babes in to daycare the second time around...but i don't think it ever gets easier. we are moms afterall...guilt around the clock! ;) but remember the woman you are too is very important and important to mac. that's what i tell myself. what i do will make alex proud one day. so in a sense i do it for her?! right? hee hee! it sucks, daycare sucks, but alex is loving it these days. it makes time with her much more quality filled for sure! call me after the interview! i will be dying to hear!

Agree with everything the girls said, I think you'll know the second you leave the interview if it's something you want to do or not. And if you're not 100% sure or have serious anxiety about it, then maybe wait a little longer. It always seems that as the kids get older, they actually enjoy daycare and make friends there and both socially and developmentally it's a good thing. Good luck whatever you decide! And I love the picture, hilarious! Are those Mr. Miller's glasses?

Good luck with your interview. I second what Jacquelyn wrote - - you are interviewing them also. If you don't think its going to be a good fit, you can say no. I think everyone forgets that.
