Catch Up
The Miller family traveled up to Indiana for Christmas vacation. The first three days were more like a nightmare as we sat in traffic for a total of 18 hours. Next time we'll pay closer attention to the weather and hopefully avoid blizzard conditions.
Mackenzie enjoyed Christmas more than ever this year. She woke up everyone in the house with a sweet Merry Christmas that sounded more like "Hairy Hismass." Mac was in no hurry to open up gifts and insisted on playing with each new toy before moving on to the next.
I tried to savor every moment of this holiday season knowing that Nathan would not be here next year. I opened up the paper on Christmas morning to find an article about a mother who has three sons and her husband serving in the military. All four family members were deployed during the holiday season. I cried for her and all of the other families missing someone during this time of year.

We were in that mess too, we had to stop, I could not take it any more! Anthony left about 2 weeks ago, so any time you want me to watch Mac again, just let me know. I had a lot of fun with her last time. She is getting so big, in her "Big Girl Bed" She is precious!
Yay a post!!!! Cute pics! She makes me smile!
I didn't know your drive was that bad, what a nightmare!
Mac is getting so big, I can't believe she is in a big girl bed. Very impressive! Glad you enjoyed the holidays at home and that we were able to see you and Nathan.
I love the picture of her looking as if she is peeking into the christmas present. TOo cute.
Next year will be my year without C. I am preparing myself mentally for it but can you ever really be prepared. Sigh. He is gone so much now that it seems as if that is getting me used to it.
I am glad the holidays went so well. 18 hours in traffic. Yikes! I dread those holiday drives. I will be making many of those next year for M to visit her Dad.
i'm so glad the transition has been so smooth! that is awesome!
